Jeremy Corbyn explains why his new project has been left floundering

When I was approached last year to become the General Secretary of the Islington North Allotment Association (INAA), I unhesitatingly accepted the role.

Here was an opportunity – finally – to build a collectivist, vegetable-based community where like-minded Marxist horticulturalists could come together to challenge the global capitalist gardening orthodoxy.

These would not be traditional allotments but ‘Your Allotments’. Or, at least, we would call them Your Allotments until such time as comrades decided to call them something else.
