The Authoritarian Playbook: What Britain Can Learn From America

On Thursday 30 July, Byline Times hosts a special live event at Leicester Square Theatre
with guests from The Lincoln Project and Quiet Riot for a timely transatlantic conversation
about democracy, authoritarian politics and how to fight back.

The evening will bring together Rick Wilson and Maya May from The Lincoln Project, Naomi
Smith and Alex Andreou from Quiet Riot, and Byline Times’ Peter Jukes and Hardeep
Matharu.

The event will unfold in two halves: first America, then Britain. From Trumpism,
disinformation and political messaging to populism, media power and democratic resistance
in the UK, this will be a sharp, urgent and lively discussion about the forces reshaping
politics on both sides of the Atlantic.
