Finally, the Great British regime has hit its endgame.

The best response is for us to embrace swift, full-scale regime change: a transition from a clapped-out monarchical democracy and hyper-centralised state to a contemporary constitutional democracy of decentralised power.

Now is not the time for short reflections, but an overview of the multiple layers of the British polycrisis.

In particular, as Labour members ask how and when to replace Keir Starmer, it is essential to absorb the reality that this is not just an emergency of party leadership. A polycrisis means that anyone who tries to ‘take over’ and ‘keep things going’ will be crushed in the falling masonry.
