Insanity Rules

As a Republican political consultant, I spent 30 years managing professional sociopaths, massaging the egos and manias of men and women who thought they were kings and the neuroses of candidates who couldn’t order lunch without a focus group. I know the difference between standard DC ‘I’m leaving to spend more time with my family’ mendacity and genuine psychological collapse.

There are moments in American politics when the masks slip. When the careful choreography collapses. When the handlers lose control of the marionette and the strings go slack in full public view.

We are deep inside one of those moments.

And I regret to inform you that the President of the United States is insane.
