When the Hornsea 3 project in the North Sea connects in late 2027, it will be nearly twice the size of the current world leader (Hornsea 2). Hornsea 3 connected its first export cable from the seabed to the UK coast on 26 March.
Dogger Bank A, B, and C (the names may need a rethink), off Yorkshire’s east coast, will each add 1.2GW of capacity. The total could power up to six million UK homes annually.
