Here’s something the UK doesn’t boast about enough: it is home to seven of the 10 largest offshore wind farms in the world. Ten of the world’s top 20. And we’re not slowing down: six in 10 of the biggest in the world are under construction here.

It is a slam-dunk against Reform UK and Conservative defeatism on net zero. Coal and gas are dying. We are already at the forefront of clean energy. 

When the Hornsea 3 project in the North Sea connects in late 2027, it will be nearly twice the size of the current world leader (Hornsea 2). Hornsea 3 connected its first export cable from the seabed to the UK coast on 26 March. 

Dogger Bank A, B, and C (the names may need a rethink), off Yorkshire’s east coast, will each add 1.2GW of capacity. The total could power up to six million UK homes annually.
