Who says Byline Times journalists are no fun when it comes to parties?
I’ve been enjoying rummaging through Reform UK’s latest accounts.
Mysterious “office costs” made up 41% of Reform’s total expenditure last year, more than twice the party’s spending on campaigning. Read that again. There’s no breakdown anywhere in the accounts – while a party a fiftieth the size itemised its office costs at £150.
One of the joys of reporting is seeing something like this and asking: what’s going on here? I have a hunch there is more to come out on this.
