Warning

Trojan Horses tells a definings story of our political age: how information became a weapon of war.

After a rehearsed reading of the play’s key dramatic scenes at The Cockpit – featuring Baby Reindeer’s Tom Goodman-Hill and The Thick Of It’s Joanna Scanlan – we’re aiming to make Trojan Horses into a full-fledged theatrical production.

Written by Peter Jukes, the co-founder of Byline Times and a playwright-turned-journalist who’s turning playwright once more, it lays out a story that took determined journalists years to unearth.

Trojan Horses follows the plan of Putin’s Grey Cardinal, Vladislav Surkov, to accelerate a hybrid information war against the West in the wake of the Maidan Uprising in Ukraine, and the involvement of Steve Bannon’s Cambridge Analytica in the vote to leave the European Union and elect Donald Trump.

See stage actors portray Alexander Dugin, Vladimir Putin, Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, Nigel Farage, and even the late Jeffrey Epstein.

At a time when questions of truth, power and foreign interference are more urgent than ever, Trojan Horses brings these extraordinary events to the stage through compelling drama grounded in real people and real consequences.

With your support, we’ll develop a full production and take Trojan Horses on tour, bringing this timely and vital story to theatres, communities and audiences across the UK.

If that’s something you’d like to see, help us hit our Crowdfunder target. We really do appreciate it.

What people say about Trojan Horses:

“Brilliant, terrifying and true.” – Hugh Grant

“Trojan Horses takes the real life story of Russian interference in British politics and the steaming corruption and indifference around it and twists it into an epic Greek tragi-comedy. By turns poetic, infuriating and unmissable.” – Otto English
