The Cockpit is the oldest purpose-built in-the-round theatre in London. A theatre of ideas and disruptive panache, hosting and producing work that is sometimes risky, often controversial, frequently left of centre, always hand-picked and always a conversation starter.

The Cockpit has grown to the right size to have an independent voice: small enough to be light on its feet and responsive to contemporary events, but big enough to serve as a multi-space hub for use by a wide range of theatre activists.
