Judged solely by the amount of column inches he generates, you might assume that Nigel Farage has already taken up residence in 10 Downing Street.

Despite his party holding just four seats in the House of Commons, Reform UK’s Leader has rapidly become an unavoidable presence in the British press. This discrepancy, between Reform’s meagre representation in Parliament and the overwhelming public platform it is granted by the media, is keenly felt by other opposition parties.

Nowhere is this more the case than for the Liberal Democrats.
