Covering Farage

Dear Editors,

Oh, the irony of it: the June edition, which mainstreamed the way the British media has been giving Farage and Reform UK undue publicity, had at least 14 pictures of the man as well as giving over several pages discussing how the media are ‘now embracing Nigel Farage’s politics’ (‘Falling for Farage’, 15 May 2025). Surely even newcomers to the political stage, whether politicians or journalists, very quickly learn that, to quote Oscar Wilde, “there is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about”?
