Rebellion! Tantrums! Tears! That’s right: it is officially the teenage stage of the Starmer Government.

We had the early stage, the ‘but what are they trying to say?’ baby phase. That was followed by the ‘oh no, are they actually little shits?’ children phase. And now we are here – at the messy, angry teen stage.

What I am trying to say, Byline Times readers, is that everything you are witnessing with the Government right now is incredibly normal, nothing to worry about, and only signs of a healthy, boisterous government that will grow into a strong leader at some point (ideally before the next election).

The first week of July was a bumpy one.
